WEDM for processing various materials such as high hardness,high brittleness has excellent processing performance,the machining quality is high and easy to process complex parts.It has been widely used in manufacturing,especially in mold making.Based on its unique processing performance,our country is introduced from abroad but its cost is high,many enterprises become the burden,so in the study of LS-WEDM,our country developed a special type of HS-WEDM.Its use cost is low,cost-effective,but the processing quality of the part is slightly inferior.In order to improve the machining quality of the HS-WEDM,this paper selects the control of wire constant tension for research.To realize the constant tension control of electrode,first analyze and concluded that the main factors for wire electrode tension is prestressing force,wear and sports.And then based on the change rule of tension,design a set can be applied to DK7732 Z HS-WEDM could satisfy the requirement of constant tension control and mechanical control device.According to the control device designed,the corresponding control system is established,and the components involved in the device are modeled to determine the transfer function of each other.According to the requirements adopted PID control strategy,and the critical proportion method and curve response method for simulation of the PID controller parameter correction,make the system which has the best control performance.According to the system requirements,embedded STM32F103 is chosen as the core controller,and then complete system on the basis of the peripheral circuit design,design the corresponding control procedures,mainly responsible for the wire electrode tension signal processing and the realization of PID control algorithm.Finally,the paper tests the system of the wire constant tension PID control system.Via the wire electrode control before and after the parts processing data,the validation method of surface roughness of machining parts accordingly analysis: after constant tension control of wire electrode surface roughness of machining parts have improved,that the system has a certain effect,practical value,and reference function.
