The well spacing density is an important parameter which influences the final recovery of reservoirs and economic benefit of oil field greatly and plays a significant role in keeping steady product for oil fields. It is necessary to research the well spacing density in the area of development of petroleum.It due to some factors to determine the well spacing density for some reservoirs. Not only does it include technological factors, also all kinds of economic factors. In fact, these factors often were neglected during the development of those oil fields. So far, there are also many people who has been researching the well spacing density. This article has researched those factors which influence the well spacing density and analysed those regular computation to find their deficiencies. On the basis of a lot of work this article has established the well spacing density in a economic optimization model including optimization method and cashi flow analysis.There are some different factors that influence the well spacing density and recovery in different oil fields. Some common characteristics of fault block oil fields and low permeability oil fields have been researched. After analysing applicability of well spacing density, this article has developed computation of well spacing density applied to fault block reservoirs and low permeability ones separately including technology and economic benefits.The model appearing in this atrticle which includes the equation aiming at economic benefit and constraint condition has obtained the economic reasonable well spacing denstiy for some oil field by using mathematic method. In order to check whether the model is feasible and right, the computation results of the model have been compared with ones from those regular methods. At the same time, the result of this model has been applied to improve the product of HESI oil field. All have showed that the model is fine.
