The CNC system is the critical part of CNC engraving machines.The quality and efficiency of engraving process mainly depend on the functions and performance of CNC systems.A good CNC system is important to the price and the market of engraving machine.From the current state of homeland engraving machines and aiming at the requirements of users,this thesis introduces a new type CNC system for engraving machines based on DSP.The type of CNC system can improve the performance of machine with lower price and the competing of market of engraving machines,which provides a way to reform the engraving quality,to improve the efficiency and to save the cost of process.In this paper, the numerical control technology and embedded system were connected, I have proposed the engraving machine control system for design requirements, and planned a numerical control system design scheme. Implementation of the scheme is using a TI Featured 32-bit fixed-point digital signal processor (DSP)TMS320F2812 as the lower position control system core processing unit and FPGA were combined to instead of the group of single chip microcontroller and industrial computer(IC)as the core of controller,.and we using modular design concept,under the control circuit sharing different tasks,implement engraving machine control system hardware and software detailed design,this design concept has greatly increased.system design flexibility and reliability.In the speed control,through the combination of the torque-frequency peculiarity of stepping motor and the calculation capacity of the microprocessor, using several lines to imitate the exponential curve for speed control was proposed,so that the resources of MCU was utilized reasonably and the speed of motor was smooth.In the track control, the high speed DDA interpolation algorithm was used as the improvement of the normal DDA,so that the operation efficiency of the interpolation was raised which reduced the operation pressure of the controller.The practical application results validates this numerical control system of three-axis high speed engraving machine based on DSP and FPGA is reliable and feasible,and also proved to have much value in application.
