| Non-ferrous metals casting system is one of the most important equipment in Non-ferrous metallurgical industry. The quality of the castings depends on the design of the non-ferrous casting system. As long as the non-ferrous metals varies, their physical properties and cast ability make a great difference. So there are many kinds of non-ferrous casting systems.Nowadays, there are some problems in non-ferrous casting system, they are:many enterprises use handwork casting, low-level automation. Handwork casting brings a lot of problems, such as low efficiency, high temperature radiation would do harm to workers, it is dangerous to work in such harsh environment. In this paper, mechanized casting is used to replace handwork casting, those problems above are solved perfectly.Virtual prototype technology is used in this paper to research non-ferrous casting system. Virtual prototype technology is a new development method, it is a new digital design method based on computer simulations. These digital models are virtual prototype, it combines development models of different engineer areas together, it simulates real product in function and behavior. By using this technology, product development cycle will be shortened, success rate of design and manufacturing will be increased. The design method used in this paper is of some reference significance.The main jobs and conclusions are listed below:1.
