The Research On Fixture CAD System Of Diesel Engine Cylinder Liner

Design of the fixture, is an important content in the technique preparation of production process in mechnical manufacturing;is the tie that link the product design and workshop production;is a decision-making process depending on experiences and having many influencing factors. Multiple variety and small batch production play leading role in current market of mechanical products,the traditional design method of fixture is far from meeting the needs of mechnical manufacturing development. With the development of society,the competition becomes fierce.It is necessary to shorten the production period of production and design farthestly in order to win the competition for enterprises.Therefore,fast implementation of fixture design has became urgent requirement for companies. Application of Computer Aided Design Technology in fixture design is an inevitable choice in solving this problem.According to the situation,this paper just begins to study under fixture design of cylinder liner,making use of the Pro/TOOLKIT's secondary development functions of 3D machine design software—Pro/ENGINEER,combining VC++6.0,the programme software,developed a system of Fixture CAD. The main function of this system:make use of the interactive style in Pro/ENGINEER system to establish a database about fixture components. Make use of the secondary development technique of Pro/TOOLKIT,the menu and theuser-interface of VC++6.0 development parameteric system,through the menu and the user-interface,according to the workpiece that the designer want to processed,it can be conveniently and fastly design a parameteric model of fixture,and can pass parameteric control and modification the fixture model at any time; In this system,fixture element may be assembled in Pro/ENGINEER environment,two-dimensional engineering drawing of fixture element is also designed.Computer Aided Fixture Design greatly shorten the period of fixture design,so as to shorten the period of preparation for production.Disigner can be liberated from complicated and tedious labor and engage in more competitive research,thus improve the level of fixture design.
