As an important tool of equipment manufacturing industry, machine tool has always been the focus of the Chinese and overseas scholars, especially for its precision and characteristics. The dynamic characteristics of the full-closed loop AC servo system are researched in detail. The content of this paper mainly include:1. A mathematical model of the AC servo system is established. Combining with the PID control strategy, the full-closed loop control system can be constructed.2. A simulation model of single axis for AC servo system is established. On the basis of the simulation model, an analysis of the PID parameters tuning is made. Not only the influence of different system parameters (such as: rotational inertia of motor, equivalent rotational inertia of machine etc) on the AC servo system is studied, but also the performance of the disturbance observer and the method of realizing biaxial simulation are researched.3. The influence of different PID parameters on the AC servo system is analyzed by testing the machine tool's dynamic characteristics with the specialist application software. At the same time, it also makes a confirmation that the simulation model is correct and reliable.4. An optimization of the PID parameters for biaxial simulation model is made by using Multi Objective Genetic Algorithm and Single Objective Genetic Algorithm respectively. The control targets that the multi objective optimization needs are contour error and every axis's position error. But the control target for the single objective optimization is just the contour error. By analyzing the results of the optimization, the better method to matching the PID parameters of the biaxial simulation model can be obtained.In summary, the dynamic characteristics of the AC servo system are affected by many factors. The matching relations of the parameters not only exist in the uniaxial system, but also exist in the biaxial system. In order to obtain the perfect state of the AC servo system, all the factors that are just talked about must be considered carefully. The research production of the paper can be applied to the engineering practice to solve the problem.
