| In recent years, the mask industry has made a rapid development and the proportion of facial masks using spunlaced nonwovens as base materials has gradually increased. With good mechanical property and absorption ability spunlaced nonwovens can be made into transparent facial masks with the aid of the nutrient liquid which make them more and more popular.As a new type of regenerated cellulose fiber, alginate fiber has high hygroscopicity, good biocompatibility and biodegradability, good antistatic property and self-retardant property and so on, which have been applied in medical and health field. However, reports on preparation of alginate fiber facial masks made by spunlace are rare. And studying the properties of alginate fiber facial masks made by spunlace can help the marketing promotion of alginate fiber and its masks.Based on the literature review of this topic, research preparation, samples homemade, and experimental tests and analysis, the following work is focused on in this project:First, choosing alginate fiber and hydrophilic modified polyester fiber as experimental materials, testing and analyzing their morphology and properties. Second, analyzing the netting properties of two kinds of fibers by means of fiber drop rate; confirming the water pressure to make the mask substrate in the experiments by analyzing the mechanical property and entanglement effect. Third, preparing the alginate fiber mask substrate by spunlace and comparing the mechanical property, absorbency, pH and antibacterial activity with the commercial Tencel mask substrate; preparing the alginate fiber micro-salt mask, and comparing the transparency with the alginate fiber mask substrate and the commercial Tencel mask substrate.The results show that, first, alginate fiber and hydrophilic modified polyester fiber have the same length and alginate fiber is thicker and there are many microgrooves on its surface; mechanical property and crimping performance of alginate fiber are weaker, but its absorbency and electrical property are better, and friction performance of the two kinds of fibers are similar, which shows that alginate fiber is suitable for the mask substrate for low mechanical requirements.Second, the netting properties become worse with the increase of alginate fiber by analyzing the fiber drop rate; confirming the water pressure to be 30bar by analyzing the mechanical property and entanglement effect of alginate fiber and hydrophilic modified polyester fiber spunlaced nonwovens.Third, except mechanical property, other properties of alginate fiber mask substrate are better than the commercial Tencel mask substrate by comparative analysis.Fourth, the transparency of alginate fiber micro-salt mask and alginate fiber mask substrate is not weaker than the commercial Tencel mask substrate by comparative analysis and alginate fiber micro-salt mask has the best compatibility with skin. |
