Research On Schedule And Control Of DMG Machine Overhaul Project

The needs for high-precision and high-reliability of import machine tool of China are increasingly stronger year by year with the continuous upgrading of equipment manufacturing industry. It is hard to keep the high-precision and high-reliability along with the life of the machine. Nowadays, the increasingly fierce market competition, how to effectively carry out the overhaul for the machine tool so that it can be restored to factory condition, to meet the production requirements, and how to control the three factors:the time, the quality and the cost, which is very important to the whole project.This paper is based from DMG machine overhaul project of SWG Company. Analyzing the project schedule planning and control for DMG machine overhaul project by using theory of project management. And applying the knowledge of project management to control DMG machine overhaul project.This paper is divided into five parts:firstly, it is about the theory of project management, and focusing on the project management schedule and control. Secondly, it is about the current status about DMG machine tool project including SWG company introduction and machine overhaul analysis. Thirdly, It is the detailed discussion about how to apply project management scheduling tool, the WBS and determine the order of the work, then to estimate the project schedule according to the project total activity time.And how to identify the critical path through the network plan. Finally, Developing a suitable management measuring system according to the project schedule control theory, which through the before, during and after. Using dynamic monitoring for the project to meet the schedule requirement. At last, the paper gives a summary for the whole overhaul project and proposes the direction of the research in the future.
