Energy is the important basic resources of society existence and development. In the energy consumption of our country, HVAC shares about 20 percert. With the development of economy, the popution growth, and the continuous improvement of people's living standard, the energy consumption of HVAC will increase continuously in the social total energy consumption. Thereby, to decrease the energy consumption of HVAC has already become the important component to realize social sustainable development of our country.On the basis of the research situation of domestic and international air-conditioning energy consumption and various kinds of energy consumption analytical methods at present, the paper carries on the constrst of the actual kinds of methods, and summarizes the usage scope and characteristics. The common characteristic of these evaluation methods is to idealize the reaserch system, in another words, how to choose the system depends on the running energy consumption in theory condition and initial cost.The result of analyse shows the analysis of air-conditioning concentrates on energy consumption or economic estimate of a certain link and part of air-conditioning system, but there are a lot of energy inputs in the stage of production, operation and terminal disposal of the air-conditioning system components. In order to evaluate the pratical enerty consumption systermatically and comprehensively, the LCA method is introduced, and the LCA system which is appropriate for air-conditioning energy consumption evaluation is established. The evaluation system is used to carry on the energy consumption analytical research of a hotel. The results are as follows: the operation energy consumption of air-conditioning system determines the total energy consumption during the system life cycle, and this part of energy consumption shares more than 60 percent of total energy consumption during the system life cycle. The running energy consumption of condenser is the biggest part of the total running energy consumption, which occupies more than 40 percent of tatal energy consumption during the system life cycle. the production energy consumption comes second in LCA some stages; maintenance energy consumption ranks the third; transportation energy consumption ranks the least.
