| ObjectiveAt present, personalized ovulation therapy with west medicines is widely used in the treatment of Follicular Maldevelopment(FM) in clinic. But these drugs always have side effects and complicated usage. Chinese doctors treat FM with Acupuncture and traditional Chinese Medicine for ages, their therapeutic benefits are significantly. But it is lack of comparative study on large samples. In this study, we combine acupuncture with kidney-reinforcing and menstrual cycle-regulation therapy before ovulation. We evaluate the effect among the three treatment groups-acupuncture combined with kidney-reinforcing and menstrual cycle-regulation group, kidney-reinforcing and menstrual cycle-regulation group, clomiphene group. We observe the effect of the treatment on various aspects of the clinical pregnancy rate, kidney qi deficiency syndrome, the follicular diameter, endometrial morphology and function of the corpus luteum to explore the advantages and curative effect of acupuncture combined with kidney-reinforcing and menstrual cycle-regulation therapy.Method150 patients according with the clinical research criteria were randomly divided into three groups.50 cases in the study group were treated with kidney-reinforcing and menstrual cycle-regulation decoction in combination with acupuncture,50 cases in the control group of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) were treated with kidney-reinforcing and menstrual cycle-regulation decoction, and 50 cases in the control group of west medicine were treated with clomiphene alone. We compare the effects of these treatments on various aspects of the clinical pregnancy rate, kidney qi deficiency syndrome, the follicular diameter, endometrial morphology and function of the corpus luteum, and analysis the relevance between the clinical pregnancy rate and endometrial morphology. So we can finally find the best therapy of FM.ResultClinical efficacy:After treatment, We found, all methods can lower the syndrome points of deficiency of kindey qi, besides, the study group and the control group of TCM had obvious advantage than the control group of clomiphene (p<0.05). But the syndrome points of deficiency of kindey qi of the control group of clomiphene haven’t improved significantly, considering the regulating menstrual effect of clomiphene may explain this situation. And there was no significant difference between the study group and the control group of TCM (P >0.05). All of the three therapies can improve the follicle diameter(p<0.05), and there was no significant difference among these there groups (P>0.05). The color ultrasound points of endometriumon of the study group and the control group of TCM ware higher than before, however the points of the control group haven’t changed(P>0.05). And the study group were significantly improved comparing with the control group, the difference was significant (P< 0.05). The luteal function can be improved in different degrees of FM patients with three groups of treatment, the control group of TCM is better than the study group, and they were better than the control group of clomiphene(P< 0.05). There’s no adverse reaction in the study group and the group of TCM, however,2 patients got LUFS and 2 patients got OHSS during the study. The clinical pregnancy rate of the study group was 27.91%, the control group of TCM was respectively 21.95%, and the control group of clomiphene was 20.00%, the study group was higher than the control group of TCM and clomiphene, but there was no significant difference between the three groups(P>0.05).ConclusionThe clinical study showed that acupuncture combined with kidney-reinforcing and menstrual cycle-regulation can effectively improve the pregnancy rate, kidney qi deficiency syndrome, endometrial morphology and function of the corpus luteum,and the effect of follicular development was similar to clomiphene. And acupuncture before ovulation can improve not only endometrial receptivity significantly but also the pregnancy rate.Therefore, the treatment of kidney-reinforcing and menstrual cycle-regulation decoction in combination with acupuncture can significantly promote the follicular development and improve the pregnancy rate. The operation is convenient, economical and effective, and can be popularized in clinical application. |
