Clinical Study On Meridian State Of Chronic Atrophic Gastritis

GOALS:Propose a new concept of meridians syndrome differentiation, which is based on nowaday s TCM research. It provides a new vision of meridians to understand diseases. Comparing m eridians syndrome differentiation and TCM syndrome differentiation of zangfu-viscera, the si milarities and differences between acupuncture and internal medicine in dialectical treatment of TCM will be discussed.BACKGROUND:Chronic Atrophic Gastritis (CAG) has a high canceration rate and a low cure rate. With the improvement of drug-resistance, the treatment of CAG encountered increasing obstacles. The understanding on pathogenesis of CAG in Modern western medicine is still not deepened at present, The clinical treatments can’t completely reversed atrophic changes. Traditional Chinese medicine has apparent advantages in syndrome differentiation and treatment. Acupuncture, as one of TCM treatments, is applied widely in clinic with significant curative effect with unique ideas in diagnosis and treatment.STUDY:1.SUBJECTS:61 patients were recruited in the research from July 2014 to January 2015. The patients were diagnosed with Chronic Atrophic Gastritis in Acupuncture Department and gastroenterology clinic of Huguosi Hospital of Chinese Medicine affiliated to Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, gastroenterology clinic of Dongzhimen Hospital affiliated to Beijing University of Chinese Medicine.2.METHODS.Self-made chronic atrophic gastritis syndrome type scale was used to gather basic information and TCM information of four methods of examinations from 61 patients. Using meridian diagnosis machine to measure meridian energy statement and electrical resistance of acupoint quantifies the statement of meridians with numbers. According to data analysis and observation on CAG patients abnormal meridians statement, this research is to investigate pathogenesis of CAG and the correlation between meridian and syndrome differentiation of zangfu-viscera.RESULTS:1. Generally speaking,the characteristics of meridian of CAG is excessive in the upper and deficience in the Lower.2. Jing points aspect: The lung, large intestine and pericardium meridians show obvious sufficiency syndrome,while stomach, spleen, liver, Gall Bladder,urinary bladder meridians present apparent deficiency syndrome3.Yuan points aspect: The lung, large intestine,heart,and pericardium meridians show obvious sufficiency syndrome,while Gall Bladder, urinary bladder,kidney, liver, stomach meridians present apparent deficiency syndrome4. Meriadian differentiation is not able to be taken the place of Zang-fu differentiation completely.
