Objective:To observe and evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of the improved STARR surgery for rectocele merger and internal rectal intussusception type of constipation.Methods:The80patients who met the inclusion criteria of rectocele merger and internal rectal intussusception type of constipation were randomly divided into two groups. The treatment group of40patients was treated with improved STARR surgery, and the control group of40patients was used for the line STARR surgery. The trial was to observe the clinical efficacy and postoperative complications including postoperative bleeding, postoperative urinary retention, postoperative pain, postoperative anastomotic stricture, and postoperative infection, and other general indicators including operative time, length of stay, hospital costs.Results:1, The efficacy of improved STARR surgery group was not significant difference after treatment compare to the control group(P>0.05);2, Compared to the control group, the improved STARR surgery group had not a significant difference with the aspects of postoperative bleeding, postoperative urinary retention, postoperative pain, postoperative anastomotic stenosis, surgery after infection (P>0.05);3, The operation time and hospital costs of the improved STARR surgery group were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion:The therapeutic effect and postoperative complications of improved STARR Surgical treatment for rectocele merger and internal rectal intussusception type of constipation had not a significant difference compared to the control group. However, the improved STARR surgery is a kind of clinical curative effect, which is new, safe and reliable technique for reducing treatment costs, simplifying the surgical procedure,.
