Objective To explore the significance and value of fibrin degradation products (FDP),D-dimer and other biochemical indexes used in early diagnosis of silicosis .Methods FDP and D-dimer were detected with ELISA and other biochemical indexes e.g.ceruloplasma(CP), superoxide dismutase(SOD),hydroxypoline(HYP),maloniea]dehyde(MDA) were detected among control group, exposure dust group and silicosis group a in different stages. Results ANOVA indicated that the levels of FDP and D-dimer in early stage are very high. They were decreasing with the developments of silicosis. Regression analysis of six biochemical indexes between I stage and O'stage showed that D-dimer CP,MDA and HYP were selected in the regression equation, that is helpful to differ O+ stage from I stage . The levels of FDP and SOD are not significant between I stage and O+ stage in statistics. The discriminant equations set by D-dimer, CP, MDAand HYP were used in the diagnosis of silicosis and the rate of accuracy in stage I is 100% and that in stage O+ is 74. 1%. Conclusion D-dimer in plasma and CP, MDA, HYP in serum can be used in the early diagnosis of silicosis.
