Studies On The Pharmacological Action And The Composition Of Protective Liverfrom Erzhi Pill

In this paper, a systematic study was engaged in a Chinese prescription Erzhi Pill. According to relevant TCM theory, the research of the main pharmacological action of Erzhi Pill was made on the basis of the traditional function and clinical practice of it. Then the effective sections could be found, and the refine procedure of the prescription could be reformed. The protective liver function of Erzhi Pill was investigated by the acute injury liver models, which were induced by Carbon Tetrachloride, AAP or alcohol. Immunity of Erzhi Pill was also investigated .The results show Erzhi pill has a significant effect of protective liver, enforcing immunity and enhancing intelligence. Effects of total coumarin of Eclipta prostrata L. (TCE) and total saponin of Ligustrum lucidum Ait. (TSL) on tetrachloride licer injury were investigated in mice. The study indicated that both the TCE and the TSL could reduce the level of ALT and protect liver. The preparation procedure of Ligustrum lucidum Ait by semi-bionic method was designed using TSL as the fixed indicates. The best method that the TSL was extracted effectively was to decoct and extract the drugs first in a fierce acid solution and then in a fierce alkaline solution at high temperature. At the same time, we assay the content of trace elements in herbs and water decoction of Eclipta prostrata L. and Ligustrum lucidum Ait. It is found that the Erzhi Pill that was made according to Pharmacopoeia can reserve more microelement content.
