| Objective: To study the effect and safety of the TCM treatment for threatened abortion. Methods: With the morden medical examinations and in terms of syndrome differentiation in 1CM, forty-two patients were classified into three types-blood stasis, damp-heat, weakened kidney. They were all given herbals according to the pathogenesis such as promote blood circulation to remove blood stasis, clear away damp-beat or strengthen kidney-qi respectively. Results: Thirty five were cured. Five got better and two developed into miscarriage later. The total efficiency is 95. 2%. Conclusion: Chinese herbal medicine can eliminate or lessen the symptoms effectively and do no harm to the mothers and fetus. Further study to develop the treatment of 1CM for threatened abortion should combine with modern medical knowledge. |
