Study On System For Planning Of Selecting Subjects In Medical Books

Along with the increasingly perfecting of Chinese socialist market economic system and the shunting to market economy of publishing enterprise, planning of selecting subjects becomes more and more important. Planning of selecting subjects plays an important role in editing and publishing, which includes promoting the perfection of the theoretic system for editing, bringing the social function of the editorial staff into full play, representing the most important competition power of the publishing enterprise and linking the social and economic benefit of books better. It is very important for the theoretic building of editing to make clear the meaning of planning of selecting subjects and to specify its intension and extension, which is the precondition of carrying it out and selecting its suitable carrying mode. In the developed countries where market economy develops better, the presses are managed as enterprises. Planning of selecting subjects, the function of which is emphasized sufficiently, is completely separated from characters processing. And the compatible running system and management system are built. However, though our country has a long editorialhistory and the thinking of planning existed long ago, it had ever been desalinated owing to some reasons. In nineteen nineties, planning of selecting subjects re-sprang up in China. The reasons includes that the increasingly perfection of market economic system brings rigorous challenge to editing and publication, the self-development of editing and publication calls for reinforcing planning of selecting subjects, the information society provides infinite resources for planning of selecting subjects, and that the age of knowledge economy offers wide space for planning of selecting subjects. But there are some problems in carrying out planning of selecting subjects, including the perfection of theories, the changing of ideas, the bringing up of planning editors and the building and perfection of management system.Based on the above analysis, this study, making medical books as its studying object and according to the characteristics and publishing situation, tried to establish the carrying system and management system for planning of selecting subjects in medical books. Firstly, a survey of medical editorial staff's planning sense was carried out, the necessity and possibility of establishing "planning editor system" in medical press was analyzed and the abilities necessary for medical planning editors were discussed, including strong sense of responsibility and mission, mastering rich medical knowledge and great social organizing ability. Secondly, based on the analysis of the publication situation and existent problems in medical books, a flow chart of planning of selecting subjects formedical books was drawn, according to which the planning process was divided into four phases: putting forward problems and specifying the target, collecting date and exploiting information, building up originality and bringing forward the feasible scheme and arguing and deciding. Finally, the organizing frame for planning of selecting subjects was discussed, the structural representation was bring forward, and the following issues were emphasized: the establishment of medical books planning center, the widening of the function of editor-in-chief office, the selecting and bringing up of medical planning editors, the comparative relationship between planning editors and processing editors...
