An experimental study on the correlation of penetratingkeratoplasty reject and the time of the donor corneas usingdifferent preserved methodsShi Jian Jiang , Gu Shu Yan , Department of Ophthalmology , Affiliated third hospitol, JiLin University, ChangChun, 130021Abstrsct Objection To understand the relations between the penetrating keratoplasty reject and the time of preserved corneal. Methods The rat models of penetrating keratoplasty reject with 30 WISTAR rat and 15 SD rat were randomly into 3 groups, The donor SD rat's corneas preserved different methods were used respectively in the three groups. The others 15 WISTAR rat and 15 SD rat were randomly divided into 3 control groups. The penetrating keratoplasty rejection index(RI) in postoperation, means survival time(MST) of corneal grafts and histopathological changes were inspected. Results The MST was 8.11?.93d in short-term-preserved group, 12.57?0.98d in medium-term-preserved group and 9.63?.747d in long-term-preserved group. The MST in medium-term-preserved group was prolonged evidently, It showed a significant correlation among three groups (p<0.01 ) . Conclusion The rate of penetrating keratoplasty rejection of postoperative was decreased and rejection time was delayed in medium- term-preserved corneal.
