The Preoperative And Postoperative Change Of T Lymphocyte Subsets In Patients With Locally Advanced Lung Cancer

Objective: To study the influence of operation on patients with locally advanced lung cancer and the significance of operation for patients with locally advanced lung cancer in the view of immunology.Methods: A lung cancer group of 20 cases locally advanced lung cancer, a normal group of 20 cases healthy volunteers from the center blood-station of GuangZhou city and a benign disease group of 20 cases lung benign disease were set up. The levels of the peripheral blood T lymphocyte subsets (CD3, CD, CD8, CD4/CD8 ratio) were detected in the lung cancer group before operation and on the 10th and 17th after operation by indirect immuno-fluorescence assay and contrasted with the benign disease group and normal group.Results: The levels of T lymphocyte subsets of the lung cancer group were abnormal before operation, CD3, CD4/CD8 ratio were significantly lower than those of the benign disease group andnormal group(P<0. 05), and CD8 was significantly higher(P<0. 05); CD3 significantly increased (P<0. 05) and CD8 decreased (P<0. 05) on the 10th and 17th after operation , CD4/CD8 ratio significantly increased on the 17th after operation (P<0. 05) ; there were not obvious difference of the levels of T lymphocyte subsets between the 10th and 17th after operation.Conclusion:1. The patients with locally advanced lung cancer had remarkable impairment of immune function, which mainly behaved stronger immunosuppression.2.After operation, immunosuppression and immunobalance of patients with locally advanced lung cancer had some recovery.3. In the view of immunology, the surgical resection for locally advanced lung cancer shows active significance. It is advisable to reduce cancerous burden with surgical resection if the condition of patients is acceptable.
