Objective:The research was designed to investigate the mechanism of acupuncture and moxibustion in anti-aging effect. Methods:32 mice were randomly and evenly divided into control,model,model+acupuncture and model+moxibustion groups. Subacute aging model was established by subcutaneous injection of D-galactose .We detected the change of superoxide dismutase(SOD) and malonyldialdehyde(MDA) of serum and testicle tissue .We also detected the level of nitric oxide(NO) and expressions of bcl-2 in testicle tissue. Results: In the testicle tissue and serum of the aging mice(model group),MDA contents increased remarkably while SOD activity and expressions of bcl-2 were lowered apparently compared with those of control group(P<0.05).After acupuncture treatment,the increased contents of MDA was lowered significantly while the decreased SOD activity and expressions of bcl-2 raised considerably in comparison with those of model group(P<0.05).About model+moxibustion group,the change of MDA,SOD activity in serum and expressions of bcl-2 in testicle was similar to model+acupuncture group.Conclusion:Acupuncture and moxibustion have effect in resisting testicle aging by way of inhibiting reaction of free radical and raising the activity of antioxidation and up-regulating the expression of bcl-2.
