Objective To explore the practical value of endometrial Clinical and surgicopathological staging of endometrical carcinoma ( EC). Methods sixty-seven patients with endometrial carcinoma accepted primary surgical treatment from December 1995 to December 2005 were analyzed retrospectively in our hospital. The clinical and surgical pathologic staging of these patients were compared. Results The total differences between clinical and surgicalpathologic staging were 28.36 %, in stage â…  21.42 % (12/56) , stage â…¡66.67% (6/9) , in stage ffl 1 of 2 cases.The metastasis rate of pelvic lymph nodes was 1.78 % ,the rate of cancer myometrial wall invasion was 73.21%, the rate of positive peritoneal cytology was 23.79% in stage â…  .The metastasis rate of pelvic lymph nodes was 28.57% ,the rate of cancer myometrial wall invasion was 88.89%, the rate of positive peritoneal cytology was 33.33% in stage â…¡. Conclusions The surgicalpathological staging is more accurate than the clinical staging . The surgicalpathological staging is able to assess prognosis objectively and guide therapy for endometrial carcinoma.
