Objective: Acute Lung Injury is a inflammatory reaction which is out of control. These factors of severe infection, trauma, and shock lead to pulmonary edema and unexpanded lung. Its pathologic character is extensive injury of blood capillary endothelial cell and alveolar epithelium cell. The clinical situation is respiratory distress and intractable hypoxemia. It developed ARDS ultimately. The pathogenesis of these two disorders is very intricacy and still unbridled. In clinic, there is no effective treatment method. Now people are aware that these two diseases are kinds of systemic disorders start-uped by many risk-factors involving many cellular factors and inflammatory cells. Inflammatory reaction plays the critical role in this process. Leukotrienes and free oxygen radicals play important roles in the inflammatory process and amplify the inflammatory reaction resulting in the lung injury.Aprotinin is a nonspecific serine protease inhibitor used extensively in cardiac operation, to reduce postoperative bleeding since its efficacy was discovered initially. Many trials and findings suggested that aprotinin might modify the inflammatory response through many pathways. Whether or...
