Research On Intervention Of Pingtang Capsule On Lipids Disorders And Insulin Resistance In The Impaired Glucose Toleration Population

Objective: 1.To study the relationship among insulin resistance(IR) and serum lipids in the impaired glucose toleration(IGT) population in Xiamen;2.To assess the effect of routine Pingtang capsule therapy on IR and lipids disorders and its safety.Methods: 1.In case-control study,compares 60 IGT subjects and 20 normal control subjects; 2.In the randomized control trial,60 IGT subjects were divided randomly into test group or control group(30 in test group and 30 in control group).The test group was treated by Pingtang capsule,the other not. The course of treatment was 8 weeks.Results:57 subjects have finished the study(29 in test group and 28 in control group). 1.Some parameters(FPG,2hBG,FINS, HOMA-IR index, FFA,TG,LDL-C)of the subject with IGT control group were significantly higer than those of normal control group,HDL-C was significantly lower than that of normal control group,there were statistic significance difference;HOMA-IR index was positively correlated, with FPG,FINS,FFA and TG; according to multivariate stepwise regression,FFA was the major determinant factors for HOMA-IR index(HOMA-IR=0.328+2.353FFA);2.After 8 weeks treatment, the differences in reduction of FPG,2hBG,FINS,HOMA-IR, FFA ,TG and elevation of HDL-C were statistic significance, impoving value of HOMA-IR index was positively correlated with impoving value of FPG, FINS, FFA,TG andTC.No advere effect was found in the study.Conclusions: 1 .The mirtal valve showed of lipids disorders in the IGT population in Xiamen,FFA and TG level were high,HDL-C level was low,these were the important risk of artherosclerosis,must be early titervented;2.IR may play an important role in lipids disorders in the IGT population,IR of the IGT population was reflected by FFA in some extent;3. IR and lipids disorders in the IGT population could be improved by Pingtang capsule therapy.Pingtang has few advere effect.
