OBJECTIVE:Adopt immunological hepatic fibrosis induced by porcins serum in rats. To investigate the anti-fibrotic and hepatocyte- protective effects of rhein (RH) and to elucidate its possible mechanism.METHODS: Forty male Wistar rats were randomized into four study groups: nomal contrast group, model contrast group, colchicines-treated group (COL0.2mg /kg), rehin-treated group (RH 100mg/kg), All rats were given subcutaneous injection of 0.5ml pig serum except nomal group two times every weeks. Rats of different treated groups were given different dose drugs by daily gavage .all rats were killed after 16 weeks and weigh them, The liver function were assaied by omni-auto biochemical meter. The levels of Superoxide dismutase in hepatic tissue were determinated by chromatometry. Degrees of fibrosis were detected by histopathology under optical microscopy and electron microscopy. The expressions of TIMP-1, CTGF, TGF-β1 were measured by immunochemical techniques.RESULTS: Compared with normal contrast group, the model group...
