Analysis On Water-supply Water Quality Condition After The Water Of Yellow River Diverted Into Taiyuan And Investigation On Drinking Water Situation In Community

Objective: To explore the water-supply water quality contion, knowledge of drinking water health of community after Yellow river divertion project(YRDP), and to insure drinking water safety, to supply scientific basis for government establishing prediction and pre-warning mechanism of drinking water sporadic event.Methods: According to < The sanitary norm of drinking water water quality > (2001) and < The verification norm of drinking water>(2001) of national Health Ministry, it was sampled and examined and evaluated for water source contion of underground water, surface water and mixing water, and water conditon of the end water of urban tap water hosepipe. Using whole troop sampling method, it was investigated by questionnaire in every household that knowledge of drinking water health of community in Taiyuan city.Results: (1) The analysis results of drinking water conditon of community in Taiyuan city showed: from 2003 to 2005, every water quality index of underground water, surface water, mixing water and tap water was in line with < The sanitary norm of drinking water water quality > (2001) of national Health Ministry, the rate of coincidence was 100%. After mixing underground water and surface water, the total hardness, smelt total solid, sulfate, chloride of mixing water reduced by 25.4%, 17.87%, 38.44% and 30.45%, but consumption oxygen quantity and fluorosic rose by 101.6%,22.13%. The total hardness, sulfate, chloride and consumption oxygen quantity in mixing water ,underground water and surface water existed significant difference(P<0.01). (2) The investigation results of drinking water situation in community showed: 1000 inhabitants were investigated in this investigation, 808 inhabitants cooperated to this survey, the rate of answer was 80.8%. Most of dwellers drinked tap water, and knowed about that the source water of tap water was the mixing water of underground water and surface water for the moment, they were comparative satisfied with drinking water quality at present, and were concerned with drinking water quality. 55.2% family choosed the machines of eliciting the water, they were care for drinking water and health. They depended on the media to obtain knowledge of drinking water health and select drinking water type.Conclusion: From 2003 to 2005, urban water-supply water quality has been in line with< The sanitary norm of drinking water water quality > (2001) of national Health Ministry. Mixing water–supply improves the drinking water quality in community, however, more organic substance in mixing water would give rise to latent harm to people's health, so government should pay attention to it. People in Taiyuan city are comparative satisfied with drinking water quality at present, are very care for drinking water and health, start to notice changing drinking water type, are short of relevant knowledge of drinking water and health.
