Objective This study was designed to evaluate the applied value of MRI in the infantile congenital clubfoot (CCF) and to provide a reasonable basis for clinical examination. MRI can apparently show the more anatomic details in foot deformities so as to obtain principle for treatment and follow-up of congenital clubfoot.Materials and Methods 12 patients (7 boys and 5 girls;Age range from 5 months to 24 months ;mean age 12 months) Diagnosed CCF by clinical characters.these patients include unilateral clubfeet 8 and bilateral clubfeet 4. The 8 contralateral feet of patients with CCF were considered as normal and used for reference.MRI studies were performed with a 0.2T MRI Scanner with a knee coil.Axial and coronal images were obtained with a T1-weighted spin-echo (SE) pulse sequence ,a repetition time (TR) of msec, and echo time (TE) of msec (TR/TE = 500-600ms/22-26ms),a T2-weighted fast spin-echo (FSE) pulse sequence (TR/TE=1600-3000ms/80ms) and 1-2 excitations.slice thickness =4mm.All CCF were taken to obtain the true transverse ,sagittal and coronal...
