Objective:Articular cartilage repair remains a clinical challenge.Current therapeutic options being used include chindral shaving ,perichondrial and periosteal grafts.None of these therapies make us satified and need more reserach.The object of this experimental research is to observe the results of using the tissue engineering cartilage to repair the canine full cartilage defects ,then to provide the foundation for the application of tissue engineering cartilage to repair the full cartilage defects in clinical orthopaedics.Methods: (1) Aspirated bone marrow stromal cells of dogs was cultured and expanded in number to the third generation which seeded into collagen-glycosaminoglycan matrices in vitro,cultivated in chondrogenic differentiation medium.Then investigated the matirials with HE stain and type II collage immunohistochemistry.
