BackgroundEssential hypertension is a common cardiovascular disease. The final conclusion of hypertensive pathogenesis was not clear, although people have made tremendous efforts to explore the etiological factor of hypertension. Salt was regard as one of the most important environment factors for a long time. Aldosterone, which has the greatest activity, is the most important mineralocorticoid inside human body. It is one of the most important genes in renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS) that aldosterone synthase gene (CYP11B2) is the key enzyme when aldosterone is synthesised. The final conclusion was not defined about the relationship between CYP11B2 gene T(-344)C polymorphism and hypertension.Objective1. To investigate the influence of sodium, potassium and stress which caused hypertension occurred and development. And to investigate family collecting of salt-sensitive hypertension.2. To investigate the frequency of variant aldosterone synthase (CYP11B2) gene and its relation to pedigreed salt-sensitive hypertension. Methods:One village is one spot center, and one pedigreed is one unit. Han people who was at this village above five years was selected as participation. There were 442 eligible participations. They were 167 proposita, 257 siblings and children, and 18 spouses. And they were 217 males and 225 females. Average age was 36.7±14.8 years. There were 149 di-generation pedigreeds and 18 tris-generation pedigreeds. All participations offered Consent Book. All pedigreeds, which were eligible selected were divided into two groups, salt sensitive pedigreed group...
