| Objective: To explore the possible advantages of real-time three-dimensional Echocardiography (RT3DE) in assessing the changes of right ventricular (RV) volume and right ventricular function in patients with early phase pulmonary resection。Methods: Real-time three-dimensional echocardiography was performed in 44 subjects with pulmonary resection to calculate the RV end-diastolic volume (RVEDV),end-systolic volume (RVESV),right ventricular stroke volume(RVSV)and right ventricular ejection fraction (RVEF) in preoperative 2-4 days and in postoperative 3-7days.Results: Comparing with preoperative parameters, there were significant decrease in RVSV (P<0.05) and RVEF (P<0.01),and significantly increase in RVEDV (P<0.05) and RVESV (P<0.01) in postoperativeConclusions: There were transient hemodynamic changes of right heart in pulmonary resection patients, which behave as the decrease of the right ventricular pumping function. As a rapid, accurate, noninvasive and feasible method, Real-time three- dimensional echocardiography could be used to estimate the right ventricular function for the patients with pulmonary resection. |
