| Objective: Uterine leiomyoma is the most common reproductive tract neoplasm in women, hitherto its pathogenesis has not been elucidated. We investigated the relationship between 14-3-3proteins and human uterine leiomyoma by detecting the expression of 14-3-3mRNA in human uterine leiomyoma and in homologous normal myometrium.Method: Tissue, samples of uterine leiomyoma and homologous normal myometrium were obtained at hysterectomy from twenty reproductive womem who had not received steroid hormone treatment before three month. Tissue samples were stored in liquid nitrogen. All specimens were verified by pathology and separated two groups: (l)experimental group: uterine leiomyoma; (2) control group: homologous normal myometrium. The expression of 14-3-3mRNA was measured by RT-PCR in uterine leiomyoma and normal myometrium. The experimental datas were obtained by ImageTool software. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS for windows 11.0 software. Results: RT-PCR revealed that 14-3-3mRNA showed a basic expression in control and experimental group. Every isoform expression level of 14-3-3mRNA in uterine leiomyoma and myometrium were as follows: 14-3-3 β mRNA of experimental group was 1.11 ± 1.10 fold of control group, which showed no significant increase (P>0.05); 14-3-3 Y mRNA and θ mRNA of experimental... |
