| The risk factors of ischemic cerebrovascular disease(CVD) including atherosclerosis, hypertension, cardiac disease, diabetes, hyperlipemia, smoking and excessive drinking are generally acknowledged in the world. Recently many researchers have paid attention to the function of blood dyscrasia in the CVD,especially the dysfunction of clotting mechanism has been regarded as one of the risk factors of CVD by more and more researchers.People had recongnized defection of protein C could cause thrombus since Criffa reported congenital defection of protein C accompanying a thrombus family, protein S Which is a cofactor of protein C may be associated with thrombus. There are many studies on the relationship bet-ween protein C,protein S and venous system thrombus, but the studies on the relationship between protein C,protein S and arterial thrombus are less, especially the relationship with young cerebral infarction,we have no opinions on the interrelation between other risk factors and them .There-fore,we plan to research the relationship between protein C,protein S and cerebral infarction, and to establish new rationale of prevention and treatment for stroke. This study was based by 64 patients of cerebral infarction (53 males, 11 females), average age was (54.23±14.08) years old. The diagnosis accorded with the standard established on the Fourth Congress of Cerebral -vascular Disease of China in 1995 and were validated by CT or MRI,excluding angiostegnosis and sclerosis by TCD and CDFI. 15 control subjects (7males, 8 females) were recruited, average age was (51.13±18.40) years old. All cases had no diseases of acute and chronic hepatopathy, hematopathy, nephritic syndrome, oral contraceptive, operation history recently and so on. Age, gender, anamnesis, blood pressure, blood sugar, blood lipids were also recorded. ELISA wasused to examine the level of plasma protein C and free protein S. Result: There was no statistics difference between the level of plasma protein C of experimental group (4.97±1.82μg/ ml) and the control group(4.74±1.95μg/ ml),the level of plasma protein C of patients who had recurrent stroke(4.03±1.40μg/ ml)was lower significantly than patients who had one time stroke(5.28±1.825μg/ ml). There was statistics difference between the level of plasma protein S of experimental group(7.47±3.87μg/ ml) and the control group(12.06±3.99μg/ ml),there was statistics difference between the level of plasma protein S of middle-old-aged group(6.58±3.33μg/ ml) and the young group(9.28±4.33μg/ ml).the level of plasma protein C and protein S had no association with the degrees of cerebral infarction.Blood pressure, blood sugar , CHOL,LDL,HDL, TG, were the independent variables and protein C ,protein S were thevariable. It suggested that there was no dependability between them by used the regress analysis to analyze the relationship between independent variables and variable. Conclusions: The decrease of the level of plasma protein C is one of the risk factors of cerebral infarction, the decrease of the level of plasma free protein S is the risk factor of cerebral infarctionl, the decrease of the level of protein S leads to protein C dysfunctional and clotting mechanism dysfunction, and then leads to occurcence of cerebral infarction. |
