Firstly, the main chemical constituent in P. Crinitum were analysised, the result showed that there were flavone glycosides, phenone, amino acids, organic acid and polysacchrides in P. Crinitum, it was basically the same with Conference.Preliminary test of qualitative analysis for flavone in P. Crinitum was made, it showed and indicated that total flavone in P. Crinitum were mainly flavones, flavonols, there were also little anthocyanidin, aurones or chalcones in it; it was possibly that flavonols were 4' and 7, 4'- dimethoxy-flavone, 3 or 5 dimethoxy-flavone.Spectrophotometry method was carried out to determine the contents of total flavone and polysaccharide in P. Crinitum and C. spuatus. Results:there were large of flavones in both of them,5.72% in P. Crinitum and 7.76% in C. spuatus; content of polysaccharide in P. Crinitum was 0.67% and 2.66% in C. spuatus.Extract of compound Jinsicao was fed to CRF rats, the model of which were made by feeding adenine, to evaluate the compound through three ways.1 .To investigate whether the compound can prevent CRF rats or cure it, which dose was better for prevent or cure CRF rats. Result: the compound was not so good for preventing CRF rats ,but better for the cure of it ,especially the "S1" dose.2.To investigate whether flavones in P. Crinitum and C. spuatus can treat CRF rats, whether polysaccharide in both herbs was the material component which made some CRF patients suffering from an allergy. Results were below: in the prevention of administering medicine test, when the content of polysaccharide in the compound was lower than 0.04g/kg, the rat mortality rose along with the increase of the content of polysaccharide; when the content of polysaccharide was up to 0.04g/kg, the curve between the content of polysaccharide and the rat mortality trended steady. Polysaccharide in this compound maybe some component which caused rat mortality to be rose. In the treatment of administering medicine test, along with days of administering medicine, the relationship curve between BUN, Scr of rats and the content of flavone illusrated: the more flavones in the compound, the lower the value of BUN, Scr in rats,it showed that flavones in compound Jinsicao maybe effective ingredients which could cure CRF rats.3. Curative effect between this compound and Niaoduqing, a Chinese patent medicine which was widely used in clinic to cure CRF, was compared to giving an overall evalueation to the compound. It showed that both the compound and Niaoduqing can lower the value of BUN, Scr in rats along with days of administering medicine, the cure ability of the compound was better than Niaoduqing in clearing BUN and Scr in CRF rats, especially the "S1" 8g/kg dose indicated. P. Crinitum and C. spuatus in this compound were rich in flavones, both were chip and common to us, so there would be a good prospect to develop the compound.
