Objective:To observe the level and change of serum adiponectin,,TNF-αin patients with acute cerebral infarction,to explore the association of adiponectin level with TNF-α,WHR,tHCY, blood pressure, blood fat and fibrinogen, and to investigate the role of the serum adiponectin, TNF-αin cerebral infarction. Methods:The serum concentration of Adiponectin in 44 patients with CI,50 healthy controls were measured by means of ELISA,the TNF-αand the tHCY by the means of radioimmunoassay, and to measure the WHR,blood pressure and the serum concentration of the blood fat, fibrinogen and to analysis the association of these indexes,to observe the change in the level of serum adiponectin at 14thday after the patients had been ill.Result:Compared with those in the controls, there is decline of serum adiponectin level(P<0.05).The serum adiponectin related negatively to the TNF-α(r=—0.486,P<0.01)and the WHR(r=-0.379,P<0.05),the triglyeride(r=-0.402,P<0.01),the LDL(r=-0.312,P<0.05),the fibrinogen(r=-0.371,P<0.05),the blood pressure(SBP)(r=-0.352,P<0.05).related positively to the level of HDL(r=-0.434,P<0.01).The adiponectin do not have significant correlation with total cholesterol,tHCY and DBP.There is no significant change of the level of serum adiponectin at 14thday after the patients had fallen ill. Conclusion:The level of serum adiponectin decrease significantly in the acute cerebral infarction patients, its concentration was relatively stable. The serum adiponectin related negatively to the TNF-αwhich participate the Vascular Inflammatory Reaction and the other risk factors of ischemic cerebrovascular disease. The adiponectin can possibly increase the insulin sensitivity, adjust metabolism, have the effects of anti-atherosclerosis and could be regarded as a durable and stable protective factor of ischemic cerebrovascular disease.
