Objective:To filtrate syndromes differentiation of type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, and to study the relationship between insulin resistance, pancreatic islet function and TCM syndromes.Method:Using epidemiology study method, we selected 327 patients and recorded their clinical symptoms and index, then filled in the CRF chart. With Hierarchical Cluster of SPSS 13.0, all data proceeded statistics analysis. After experts' discussion, TCM differentiation syndromes were confirmed. Within 98 cases, we studied the change of HOMA-IR,HOMA-IS and discussed the relationship between insulin resistance, function of islet and TCM syndromes.Result:The classification of differentiation syndromes included damp-heat syndrome, Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome, Shen Yang deficiency syndrome and blood stasis syndrome. The principal syndrome was Deficiency of Qi and Yin. And the stagnation of blood was always seen in T2DM. Compared with HOMA-IR and HOMA-IS, there was a statistical significance among each group (P<0.01). Studying Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome, the above indexes also showed more of an apparent difference in the blood stasis syndrome than those in the non-blood stasis syndrome (P<0.05, P<0.01).Conclusion:1. The TCM syndromes differentiation of type 2 Diabetes Mellitus is confirmed with strict collection information and statistical analysis, so the result has better reliability. 2. The notable difference of HOMA-IR and HOMA-IS in different TCM syndromes tell us both may be substance indexes to the differentiation of TCM syndromes.3. The insulin resistance and exceptional secretion function of blood stasis syndrome are worse than those in the non-blood stasis syndrome so that blood stasis is closely associated with the development of diabetic state. |
