Objective: To study the influence of gymnastic exercise on human body's freeradicals and anti-oxidative capability; To search scientific way for enhancinganti-oxidative capability of human bodys.Methods: Fifty female students firstly participated gymnastic exercise in nursingcollege of University of South China were divided into two groups according tosimple random method: the 1st.group(twenty-five female students exercising for fourweeks) and the 2nd group(twenty-five female students exercising for twelveweeks);The control group were twenty female students randomly selected in the samegrade of nursing college. The control group didn't participate aerobic exercise such asrunning,playing basketball, et al. The morphological index,blood-fat,levels of freeradicals and anti-oxidative capability were examined and compared bothpre-exercising and post-exercising.Results: 1 The index of body morphous had no significant diference among threegroups before exercising(P>0.05). After exercising, the diference of body morphousbetween the 1st.group and the control group were not significant while the 2nd groupstudents' body weight, skin-fold thickness of subscapular angle and body fatpercentage decreased (P<0.05) compared with pre-exercising. 2 There were notsignificant diference about blood fat among three groups before exercising. Afterexercising, blood fat were not significantly different between the 1st.group and thecontrol group (P>0.05) while the 2nd group had higher HDL and lower TG,LDL thanthe 1st.group and the control group (P<0.05).After exercisng, the blood fat of the1st.group and the control group had no significant diference compared with pre-exercising(P>0.05).The 2nd group showed higher HDL and lower TG,LDL comparedto pre- exercising (P<0.05).3 The free radicals and anti-oxidative capability didn'tshow significant diference among three groups before exercising(P>0.05). After exercising, the serum MDA and OH of the 1st.group increased a little compared withthe control group (P>0.05), the serum GSH-Px were higher than the control group(P<0.05). The 2nd group showed lower MDA, OH and higher NO,SOD,GSH-Px,T-AOC than the 1st.group and the control groups (P<0.05). After exercising, theserum GSH-Px of the 1st.group increased (P<0.05) and the 2nd group showed lowerMDA,OH and higher NO,SOD,GSH-Px,T-AOC compared withpre-exercising(P<0.05).Conclusion: 1.The gymnastic exercising for twelve weeks can decrease femalestudents' body fat and improve the female students' body figure. 2.The gymnasticexercising for twelve weeks can decrease female students' levels of serum TG andLDL and increase the levels of HDL. 3 The gymnastic exercising for four weeks canenhance female students' GSH-Px activity. The gymnastic exercising for twelveweeks can decrease the levels of female students' free radicals and enhance theanti-oxidative capability and increase total anti-oxidative capability. 4 There is acorrection between the duration of exercising and the influence of gymnastic exerciseon free radicals and anti-oxidative capability of human bodys.
