Association Of The Polymorphism Of Aldosterone Synthase Gene CYP11B2 And Related Factors With Essential Hypertension In Xinjiang Uygur Population

Objective: To investigate the association of the -344C/T polymorphism of aldosterone synthase gene CYP11B2 and related factors with essential hypertension in Xinjiang uygur population. Methods: 485 Xinjiang uygurs who lived in the area of muoyu country of HeTian were recruited in our study. The study covered 233 hypertensives and 252 normotensive controls. The segment of CYP11B2 was amplified from DNA by polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The PCR products were digested by restriction endonuclease. We observed the genetype and allele frequency distribution. We drew blood of everybody on an empty stomach, then examined total cholesterol, triglyceride,glucose,natriuretic peptide,serum calcium,serum sodium,serum potassium, low density lipoprotein,high density lipoprotein,blood uric acid,plasma osmotic pressure,we also recorded age,body mass index and abdominal circumference. Result: (1)the frequencies of genotypes of CC, TT and TC were 0.155, 0.386and 0.459 in hypertensive respectively, and 0.167, 0.401and 0.433 in controls respectively. There was no significant difference in genotype between hypertensive group and normotensive group ( P>0.05). The frequencies of C and T in hypertensive group (0.384 and 0.616) were not significantly different from those in the control group (0.383and 0.617; P>0.05). (2)There were significant differences of both hypertensives and normotrnsive group among age, body mass index, abdominal circumference, total cholesterol, triglyceride and low density lipoprotein. Conclusion: (1) These kinds of genotype and two kinds of allele of CYP11B2 gene -344C/ T polymorphism were detected in Xinjiang uygur population,the -344C/ T polymorphism of CYP11B2 gene may not be associated with hypertension in uygur population. (3)Essential hypertension is associated with lipid metabolic disturbance.
