| Objective To study the pattern of community-based comprehensive prevention and control for hypertension,which Would be suitable for the situation in China.Methords 400 hypertensive patients from Dong hu District in Daqing city were ramdomly divided into intervention and control group: intervention group ,treated with antihypertensive drugs and given health education ,physical exercise ,low-salt diet,weight loss and changing the bad lifestyle,etc.and control group treated with antihypertensive drugs only .The effects of community-based comprehensive prevention and control for hypertension were evaluated after 1 year.Results The intervention effects of community-based hypertention control Trials were estimated to be:to improve the rate of hypertensive awareness,treatment and control in people of intervention group,Many risk factors of hypertension were controlled. Mean blood pressure was significantly decreased 34.13±18.2/12.62±12.74mmHg.Conclusions The pattern of community-based comprehensive prevention and control for hypertension in Daqing city is effective and also suitable for the situation in China.
