The Study On Clinical Effect Of The Method Of Invigorating The Kidney And Promoting Blood Flew In The Treatment Of Knee Osteoarthritis

ObjeciveThe purpose of the research was to observe the clinical effect of the method of Invigorating the Kidney and Promoting Blood Flew combined with articular cavity injection with sodium hyaluronate in the treatment of Knee Osteoarthritis(KOA) patients. By establishing a matched group, these two groups were compared after they were treated with different ways. So we could investigate if the method of Invigorating the Kidney and Promoting Blood Flew combined with articular cavity injection with sodium hyaluronate was helpful in the treatment of KOA. Therefore a safe and valid project of curing the KOA could be explored further with TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) combined with modern medicine.MethodsThe 64 KOA patients were randomly divided into two groups, One was the treatment group, 32 KOA patients, which were taken orally the method of Invigorating the Kidney and Promoting Blood Flew combined with articular cavity injection with sodium hyaluronate, the other was the matched group, 32 KOA patients, which were only injected with sodium hyaluronate into articular cavity. By taking down the accounts and making statistcal disposal after five weeks of treatment, two groups were contrasted on TCM syndrome and the HSS Knee-Rating Scale. The clinical curative effect was evaluated completely.ResultsThe total curative effect of the treatment group were 93. 75%, the matched group were 37. 5%. Their difference was conspicuous(P<0..05). On the function of knee (the HSS Knee-Rating Scale) , the difference of the two groups was evident respectively after the treatment (P<0. 05). ConclusionThe observation indicates that the method of Invigorating the Kidney and Promoting Blood Flew combined with articular cavity injection with sodium hyaluronate has good effect, and combination of Traditional Chinese with western medicine(the method of Invigorating the Kidney and Promoting Blood Flew + articular cavity injection with sodium hyaluronate) could promote curative effect in the treatment of KOA patients. The treatment project of TCM combined with modern medicine was safe and useful.
