The Clinical Significance And Changes Of GRO-α,VEGF In The Peritoneal Fluid Of Patients With Endometriosis

Objective:To detect the concentration of GRO-αand VEGF in the peritoneal fluid of women with the endometriosis and to evaluate whether these alteration could provide causative and progressive information.Methods:The concentration of GRO-αand VEGF was studied by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)methods in 39 cases of endometrios- is and 25 cases of normal control without endometriosis.Results:1.The concentration of GRO-αin the peritoneal fluid of EMs group (108.77±20.58)pg/ml was significantly higher than that in control group (71.07±18.96)pg/ml(P＜0.05);the concentration of VEGF in the peritoneal fluid of EMs group(199.67±99.26)pg/ml was significantly higher than that in control group(115.46±32.39)pg/ml(P＜0.05).2.The concentration of GRO-αin the peritoneal fluid of the patients in stageⅠandⅡwas significantly lower than that in stageⅢandⅣ(P＜0.05);while the concentration of VEGF in the peritoneal fluid of the patients in stageⅠandⅡwas significantly higher than that in stageⅢandⅣ(P＜0.05).3.There was correlation between the concentration of GRO-αand the r-AFS(r=0.439,P＜0.05),but there was no correlation between the concentration of VEGF and the r-AFS(r=-0.210,P＞0.05). 4.There was no correlation between peritoneal fluid levels of GRO-αand VEGF in the EMs group(r=-0.050,P＞0.05).Conclusion:1.The concentration of GRO-αand VEGF in peritoneal fluid of women with endometriosis is significantly higher compared with control which indicates that the increased GRO-αand VEGF secretion involves in the pathogenesis of the disease.2.There is correlation between the peritoneal fluid level of GRO-αand the degree of EMs;while there is no correlation between the peritoneal fluid level of VEGF and the degree of EMs.3.There is no correlation between peritoneal fluid levels of GRO-αand VEGF in the EMs group.
