Objective: Herpes zoster and postherpetic neuralgia is common in clinical . The investigates into the relevant factors and intervention methods will be significative to prevent and reduce the incidence of PHN.Methods: Retrospective analysis of 134 cases of patients with herpes zoster cases, of which 23 cases with postherpetic neuralgia and 111 cases without postherpetic neuralgia . We will carry on the comparison to facters the processes of their treatment and recovery, and explore the relevant factors and interference factors of postherpetic neuralgia. Results: There may be many factors to increased the incidence of PHN,such as elderly, accompanied by other diseases, treatment for the first time too late, the course was too short, but there may be some methods to reduce or mitigate the risk, such as early anti-viral treatment, active use of low-dose glucocorticoid. Conclusion: senior citizens, accompanied by other primary disease, treatment too late, too short course of treatment in patients with herpes zoster ,are all considered to be the risk factors of PHN.So wo should control the primary disease actively, treatment the herpes zoster as soon as possible, plus small dose of glucocorticoid in the early course, to reduce the incidence of PHN.
