| Objective:To investigate the anti-aging effect of Ethanol Extract of Tao Ren(EETR) and its mechanism in subacute aging model rats. Methods:Wistar male rats were randomly divided into the normal group, model group, three groups treated with EETR(D-galaetose150mg/kg/d+ EETR 2.5g/kg/d,D-galactose 150mg/kg/d+EETR 5.0g/kg/d,D-galactose150mg/kg/d+ EETR 10.0g/kg/d) and ginsenoside group(D-galactose 150mg/kg/d +ginsenoside400mg/kg/d).Rats were treated by intragastric administration for 60 days, at the last day of performing intragastric administration, the learning and memory capacity was detected with Morris water maze, the weight of spleen and thymus were measured, meanwhile the biochemistry indexes of blood and brain were detected. Results:Compared with the normal group, the results of ethology showed that learning and memory capacity of aging model rats had obvious decline.Compared with the model group, all dosage groups of EETR could improve learning and memory capacity of aging model rats(P<0.05);the activity of acetylcholine esterase(AChE)was reduced(P<0.05,P<0.01);Compared with the model group, all dosage groups of EETR could increase the activity of superoxide dismutase(SOD),catalase(CAT) in blood serum and brain(P<0.05,P<0.01 )and reduce the content of malondialdehyde(MDA) in blood serum and brain(P<0.05,P<0.01 ),meanwhile the weight of spleen and thymus were increased(P<0.05).Conclusion:EETR has anti-aging effect on the subacute aging model rats which were established by the injection of D-galactoseand,the large dosage group has the best effect.the possible mechanism of EETR can be attributed to inhibiting the damage of free radical peroxidation, improving the function of center bilineurine system and enhancing immune function of organism. |
