The Clinical Research On The Therapeutic Effect Of Remnant Neurological Symptom Using Abdominal Acupuncture Therapy In Treating After Lumbar Fixation Surgery

BackgroundAs society changes in lifestyle,the incidence of low back pain due to disc lesions is gradually increased now,and getting lower and lower age at onset and more and more extensive coverage of occupational.With the continuous improvement of spine surgery technology,more and more patients choose surgical treatment to cure low back pain.But the effect of spinal surgery are alleviate the oppression and prevent further nerve damage.The inevitable traction nerve,long time exposure of spinal cord on surgery,can cause lower extremity numbness still or even heavier,and resume the fight against disease.Recovery of neurological function in spinal cord after surgery,standardization of treatment of perioperative,in particular the application of hormone drugs,are gradually taken seriously.The recovery of neurological function after surgery has become an important topic in perioperative period.ObjectiveUsing abdominal acupuncture to intervene the patients after internal fixation of lumbar spine,exploring its effects on the recovery of neurological function,and establish the foundation of the further research,and supplying a method for the perioperative treatment of lumbar fixation surgery,which is reasonable,safe,effective and easy to operate.MethodsChoose 86 cases of patients after lumbar fixation surgery,from TCM Hospital of Guangdong Province,according to the disease diagnosis standard and clinical efficacy criteria.43 cases of those randomly selected were treated with Abdominal Acupuncture Therapy three days after surgery and Stop using the MP.43 cases were treated with MP 40mg as a control.The observation point are choosed 3 day(after the first treatment),7 day,14 day and 1 month after operation.Evaluate the clinical effects of the patients chosen, using JOA evaluation standard scale in treatment of low back pain,the visual analog scale(visual analogue scales,VAS)and the rate of the improving of numbness symptoms.The EPIdata software is used to establish a database,and spss 13.0 statistical analysis software is also used in effect evaluation.ResultsSelected cases of the two groups has no remarkable significance(P>0.05) in ages,genders,courses of disease and operation time.JOA and VAS score of two groups before surgery was 11.19±1.30,11.33±2.01 and the VAS was 5.49±0.74 and 5.65±0.84 respectively,no remarkable significance (P>0.05).JOA and VAS score of pre-treatment was 17.14±1.66.15.77±0.95 and the VAS was 2.14±0.52 and 2.72±0.67 respectively,no remarkable significance(P>0.05).Digestive ulcer,infection related to MP did not appear in them.The average VAS score and JOA score of two groups had remarkable significance(P<0.05) after the first treatment,7 day,but no remarkable significance(P>0.05) after one month.The cure-markedly effective of the rate of the improving of numbness symptoms was 95.3%in the observation group and 81.4%in the control group with a significant diference between the two groups(P< 0.05) after the two weeks.ConclusionsAbdominal acupuncture therapy after LDH surgery makes a recent significant effect,which is simple,safe and with patient satisfaction.
