Objective:To explore the role and mechanism of arotinolol and metoprolol on inflammatory reaction and fibrinolytic activity in patients with unstable angina.Methods: 60 selected patients were divided randomly into two groups: the arotinolol group (conventional medication plus arotinolol),the metoprolol group (conventional medication plus metoprolol).The change of some indicator levels, including high-sensitivive C-reactive protein and plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 were measured after two weeks of treatment.Clinical therapeutic effect and adverse reactions were monitored.The dose of arotinolol was 5mg twice every day at first. The dose of metoprolol was 12.5mg twice every day at first.Doctors can regulate the dose according to blood pressure,heart rate and the condition of angina pectoris attacks.Results:①After the treatment,the levels of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein and plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 decreased notably in two groups(P<0.05),and there was significance among the two groups(P<0.05).②After the treatment,heart rate,blood pressure,oxygen consumption of myocardium decreased notably in two groups(P<0.05),and the oxygen consumption of myocardium was lower in the arotinolol group(P<0.05).③The extent,frequency and persistence time of angina was lessen both in two group. Both arotinolol and metoprolol were efftive to improve symptom. In the arotinolol group,the total effective rate was 90.00% and the excellence efficiency was 56.67%. In the metoprolol group, the total effective rate was 83.33%,and the excellence efficiency was 30.00 % .The excellence efficiency was higher in the arotinolol group(P<0.05).Conclusion:①Both arotinolol and metoprolol can decrease the level of high-sensitive C-reactive protein and plasminogen activator inhibitor-1.②Arotinolol blockingαandβreceptor decrease the level of high-sensitive C-reactive protein and plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 notably, and refrain inflammation and fibrinolytic activity predominately.③Both arotinolol and metoprolol can decrease oxygen consumption of myocardium,but arotinolol decrease oxygen consumption of myocardium predominately , arotinolol is effective in patients with unstable angina pectoris.
