Objective:To study the diagnosis and surgical management of thyroid microcarcinoma And elevate the ability on the diagnosis and surgical management of thyroid microcarcinoma.Methods:A total of 334 cases from CNKI and WEIPU from January 2007 to January 2008 were reviewed restrospec- tively.Results:All cases were confirmed by pathological exam.51 males 283 females .age from 16 to 80 years. The media age is 44years.320 cases had been detected by b-ultrasound ,and 227 cases(75.8%) were highly suspected as TMC.94.4% were found by frozen section. The media follow-up duration of this patients was 5 years. 8 of this patients had recurrence during this period. Diease-relate mortality was not observed.Conclusions:1 TMC are often occult and difficult to be diagnosed preoperately .Most of them in clinical un-palpable may be detected by high thyroid ultrasound and were diagnosed by frozen section.2 Surgery is the most important treatment of TMC.
