The Clinical Research Of The Treatment Of Insomnia Of Fire Derived From Stagnation Of Liver-QI Type With Bupleurum Tenue Buch.-Ham Decoction

Purpose:To observe the clinical curative effect of experiment group(Bupleurum tenue Buch.-Ham Decoction and Estazolam) treating Insomnia of Fire Derived from Stagnation of Liver-QI Type,and the influence to the score of Sleep Dysfunction Rating Scale,Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index and Treatment Emergent Symptom Scale, accordingly provide clinical and theoretical evidence.Method:All 68 cases studied were out-patients and in patients,that came from Traditional Chinese Internal Medicine of Wuhan Integrated TCM and Western Medicine Hospital.According to the random digits table,divide the 71 cases fitting internalized standard to experiment group(Bupleurum tenue Buch.-Ham Decoction and Estazolam)andcontrol group(Estazolam).Except 3 lost cases,there were 35 cases in treatment group,and 33 cases in control group.All 68 patients troubled by Insomnia of Fire Derived from Stagnation of Liver-QI Type,were required stopping all therapy with improving Insomnia,but took Estazolam(before sleeping everynight 1mg～2mg) orally,then treatment group patients took Bupleurum tenue Buch.-Ham Decoction addingly.Bupleurum tenue Buch.-Ham Decoction was made from 15 grams Bupleurum chinense,10 grams scutellaria,10 grams pinelliae tuber,10 grams rhizoma,15 grams Indian bread with hostwood,5Chinese jujubes,6 grams Glycyrrhiza uralensis.Decoction and regimen:Firstly,soak the chinese medicine ahead about half an hour in clear water,and boil it,then decoct it about 30 minutes at simmer.Decoct one dose per day,take it 3 three times per day,taking first before sleep,then second,third decoction next morning and afternoon.The course of treatment was 2 weeks,the 2 groups were given 4 weeks continuous course treatment.According to SDRS scores,observe the clinical curative effect of experiment group(Bupleurum tenue Buch.-Ham Decoction Decoction and Estazolam)and control group(Estazolam) treating Insomnia of Fire Derived from Stagnation of Liver-QI Type;record the scores of SDRS,PSQI and TESS of the two groups on the 14th,28thday and 2 weeks after discontinuation.Results:(1) After 4 weeks' treatment,comparing experiment group to control group,the difference of the excellence rates is not statistically significant(P＞0.05),but the differences of total effective rate and clinical recovery rate are statistically significant(P＜0.05).The total effective rate and clinical recovery rate of treatment group are respectively 91.43%,34.29%;The total effective rate and clinical recovery rate of control group are respectively 69.70%,12.12%。It shows that the clinical curative effect of Bupleurum tenue Buch.-Ham Decoction combinated Estazolam treating Insomnia of Fire Derived from Stagnation of Liver-QI Type is better than using Estazolam only.(2) Comparing SDRS scores of experiment group to that of control group,the difference of SDRS scores is not statistically significant before treatment(P＞0.05),but the differences of SDRS scores are statistically significant on the 14th,28th day and 2 weeks after discontinuation(P＜0.05),then it shows that the clinical curative effect of experiment group is superior to control group.(3) Comparing PSQI scores of experiment group to that of control group,the difference of PSQI scores is not statistically significant before treatment(P＞0.05),but the differences of PSQI scores are statistically significant on the 14th,28thday and 2 weeks after discontinuation(P＜0.05),then it shows that the clinical curative effect of experiment group is superior to control group.(4) Comparing TESS scores of experiment group to that of control group,the difference of TESS scores is not statistically significant on the 14th day(P＞0.05),but the differences of TESS scores are statistically significant on the 28thday and 2 weeks after discontinuation(P＜0.05),also TESS scores of experiment group are lower,then it shows that Bupleurum tenue Buch.-Ham Decoction combinated Estazolam has more conspicuous adverse reaction than using Estazolam only.Conclusion:It really has very good curative effect,that Bupleurum tenue Buch.-Ham Decoction combinated Estazolam treat Insomnia of Fire Derived from Stagnation of Liver-QI Type.The curative effect of treatment group is better than using Estazolamonly,and has less adverse reactions.It is expecting to do further research on this question.
