Objective: To observe the short-term clinical efficacy of Modified Chaihu Long gu Muli Decoction in the treatment of insomnia with Fire Derived from Stagnation of Liver Type, and to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Modified Chaihu Longgu Muli Decoction in the treatment of insomnia with Fire Derived from Stagnation of Liver Type.so as to provide a basis and clinical basis for the later study on the mechanism of Chaihu Longgu Muli Decoction in the treatment of insomnia. Methods: A total of 70 patients with insomnia admitted to the affiliated hospital of shanxi university of traditional Chinese medicine from December 2018 to December 2019 were selected as the research object. All the patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, with 35 cases in each group. The control group received two tablets per time and one tablet per day for placebo treatment before bedtime. The treatment group was treated with Modified Chaihu Longgu Muli Decoction granules,1 box/time,2 times/day(morning and evening),and 200 ml boiled water. The course of treatment was 2 weeks in both groups, and the efficacy was evaluated by TCM syndrome score and Pittsburgh sleep quality score(PSQI).Results: 1.Clinical efficacy: after treatment, the total effective rate of the treatment group and the control group were 77.15% and 37.14%,respectively,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P < 0.05).2.Total score of TCM syndrome score: before and after treatment, the TCM syndrome score of the treatment group and the control group all showed a downward trend, and the differences within each group were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the decreasing trend of TCM syndrome score in the treatment group was more obvious than that in the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.Total PSQI score: the change trend of total PSQI score before and after treatment in the treatment group was similar to that of the total score of TCM syndrome score. The difference within the treatment group was statistically significant(P<0.05),but the decrease trend of total PSQI score before and after treatment in the control group was not obvious, and the difference within the group was not statistically significant(P>0.05).After treatment, the PSQI total score of the treatment group was more significantly changed than that of the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.Incidence of adverse reactions: during the treatment,no serious adverse reactions were found in the two groups, and the incidence of adverse reactions in the treatment group and the control group were 8.57% and 2.86%,respectively,with no statistically significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).5.Recurrence rate: one month after drug withdrawal, the recurrence rates of the treatment group and the control group were 14.28% and 94.28%,respectively,with statistically significant differences between the two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion: Modified Chaihu Longgu Muli Decoction have a good clinical effect in the treatment of insomnia with Fire Derived from Stagnation of Liver Type, which can significantly improve the TCM symptom score and PSQI score, with less adverse reactions and low recurrence rate.
