Working Memory Study On Mild Cognitive Impairment

Objective To study neuropsychological examination of mild cognitive impairment. To investigate the executive function and working memory in patients with mild cognitive impairment, the relations between working memory and executive function and the effects of working memory on patients's daily functioningMethods Color trail test1, Digital Span, Verbal fluency test, Chinese auditory learning test, Judgment of line orientation test and stroop test were applied to evaluate neuropsychological examination of mild cognitive impairment. mild cognitive impairment were tested with a wide neuropsychological battery of tests including those of executive function, working memory and other cognition domain testsResults There is statistic significance that mild cognitive impairment of Color trail testâ…¡,Color trail test of interfere effect, Digital Span, Chinese auditory learning test , Verbal fluency test and working memory test compared to normal control. In the stepwise liner regression analysis objective working memory test made a significant independent contribution to patients's daily functioning.Conclusions The results indicate that the patients with mild cognitive impairment have the deficit in executive function and working memory. Visuo-objective working memory is closely correlated with general cognitive function such as daily function, resulting in daily function decline.
