The project investigated the chemical constituents of Selaginella tamariscina(Beauv.) Spring by modern chromatograpy and spectral technology.The alkylnyl phenols were research emphasis and its biosynthetic pathway was depictioned preliminarily.Column chromatography(macroporous resin,silicon,polyamide and Sephadex LH-20) and pre-HPLC were used to isolate and purify the chemical contituents,Structures were identified as 1-methoxy-3-methylanthraquinone(1),heveaflavone(2),heptadecanoic acid(3),6-(2-hydroxy-5-acetylphenyl)-apigenin(4),Selaginellin D(5),Selaginellin A(6), Selaginellin E(7),6-(2-hydroxy-5-carboxyphenyl)- apigenin(8), Selaginellin(9),Selaginellin G(10),3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-6,7-dihydroxy coumarin(11),Selaginellin F(13),amentoflavone(16),β-sitostol(20) on the basis of spectroscopic properties of UV,IR,1H-NMR,13C-NMR, 2D-NMR,MS and ESI-HR-MS.Compound 4,5,7,8,10,13 were new compounds.Compouds 1 and 11 were new natural products.The biosynthetic pathway of alkylnyl phenols is acetate-malonate—shikimic acid pathway.
