Objective To analyze the clinical characteristic and clinicpathological risk factors of patients with colorectal Liver metastasis. Methods Clinicpathological data of 477 cases with colorectal cancer from May 2004 to May 2009 in the 1st Affiliated Hospital of GXMU were collected. Patients were divided into two groups according to liver metastases or not. Single and multiple factors analysis approach were adopted to analyze risk factors, such as age, sex, clinical symptoms, liver functional parameter, primary tumor position, infiltration depth, lymphoid node metastasis, tumor appearance, cell differentiation degree, bowel obstruction, CEA, AFP etc. Results There were 84 cases with hepatic metastases, accounting for 17.6 %. Single factor analysis showed that abdominal pain, bowel obstruction, surrounding metastases node, lymph node metastases, infiltration depth, pre-operation serum CEA and AFP level were related to liver metastasis. Logistic regression analysis showed that bowel obstruction, pre-operation serum CEA level, surrounding metastases node had statistical significance between two groups. Conclusion The bowel obstruction, pre-operation serum CEA level, surrounding metastases node are associated with liver metastases.
