A Clinical Research For Early Intervention On Mild Cognitive Impairment After Cerebral Infarction By Ziyinjiannao Tablet

Objective:Chinese medicine Clinical symptoms, MMSE scores and Clinical neurological deficit scores were used to evaluate the effects of Ziyinjiannao Tablet on patients with mild cognitive impairment after cerebral infarctionMethods:90 patients with mild cognitive impairment after cerebral infarction were divided randomly into three groups:Ziyinjiannao tablet group, Nimodiping group and mixed treatment group with 30 patients each. The way of medication followed the single blind method. All patients took medicines three times a day. And total course of treatment were 2 months. Patients in Ziyinjiannao tablet group or Nimodiping group had 8 Ziyinjiannao tablets or 20-40mg Nimodiping each time. Both these two kinds of medicine were taken by patients in mixed treatment group each time. Chinese medicine clinical symptoms, MMSE scores and Clinical neurological deficit scores were used to observed the therapeutic effect.Results:1. Chinese Medicine Clinical Symptoms The results showed that Chinese medicine clinical symptoms such as kidney essence deficiency, Phlegm obstructing orifices and Liver yang have improved obviously in all three groups. The effective rate reached more than 92.90 percent in mixed treatment group. The kidney essence deficiency differences improvement was significant different between mixed treatment group and Nimodiping group (P=0.043,<0.05). The Liver yang differences improvement in mixed treatment group was significant different with Nimodiping group (P=0.047,<0.05). And the Phlegm obstructing orifices improvement have no significant different among three groups.2. MMSE ScoresMMSE scores were significant higher after 2 month treatment in all three groups (P<0.05). There was no significant difference among three groups. However, MMSE scores data showed that treatment effect in mixed treatment group was the best, and treatment effect in Ziyinjiannao tablet group was better than that in Nimodiping group.3. Clinical Neurological Deficit ScoresThe results showed that clinical neurological deficit scores were significant higher after 2 month treatment in all three groups (P<0.05).The differences between mixed treatment group and Nimodiping group or Ziyinjiannao tablet group was significantly (P<0.05). There was no significant different between Nimodiping group and Ziyinjiannao tablet group (P>0.05). However, clinical neurological deficit scores data also showed that treatment effect in mixed treatment group was the best, and treatment effect in Ziyinjiannao tablet group was better than that in Nimodiping group.4. Syndrome DistributionClinical research showed that there have 84 cases of kidney essence deficiency(93.3%),51cases of Phlegm obstructing orifices (56.7%),48 cases of Liver yang (53.3%),29 cases of turbid stagnation (32.2%),17 cases of accumulation of heat-toxin (18.9%),10 cases of the obstruction of collaterals by stagnated blood (11.1%), and 8 cases of qi and blood deficiency (9%) in all patients. It suggested that kidney essence deficiency, liver yang and phlegm obstructing orifices were the three main syndromes of mild cognitive impairment after cerebral infarction.Conclusion:Our research finds that treatment with Ziyinjiannao tablet can significantly prove Chinese medicine clinical symptoms, MMSE scores and clinical neurological deficit scores in patients with mild cognitive impairment after cerebral infarction. Combination therapy with Ziyinjiannao tablet and Nimodiping may lead to better effectiveness. It conclude that Ziyinjiannao tablet can prevent or relief cognitive impairment after cerebral infarction.
