The Influence Of Immune Functions And Therapeutic And Adverse Effect Of Lentinan Combined With Chemotherapy In Advanced Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

Objective:To evaluate influence of immune functions and the short-term therapeutic and adverse effect of lentinan and chemotherapy on patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).Methods:82 advanced NSCLC cases diagnosed by clinical pathology or cellular biopsy were divided into control group treated with chemotherapy and observation group treated with lentinan and chemotherapy. Compare the difference of the influence on immune functions between two groups, and compare the difference of the short-term therapeutic and adverse effect between two groups, t-test and x2 analysis were used to analyze.Results:1. Comparation of immune functionsBefore treatment, there were no significant differences of CD3,CD4,CD8,CD4/CD8 NK cell between two groups.After treatment, In trail group, CD8 reduced and CD4/CD8 increased, while in control group CD3,CD4,CD8,NK cell reduced.2. Comparation of short-term therapy effectAfter treatment the objective response rate of trail group was 42.5% while that of control group was 41.5%.There was no significant statistic difference between.3. Comparation of quality of life.In trail group KPS score was higher than that in control group,and there were significant difference between two groups(X2=17.685 P<0.001). There were no significant difference of weight between two groups(X2=3.214 P=0.200).4. Comparation of adverse effect.The incidence of grade III-IV leukopenia, nausea and vomiting in trail group was much lower than those in control group (P<0.05).Conclusions:Lentinan can ameliorate life quality and has the effect of synergism and mild adverse reaction on chemotherapy for patient s with advanced NSCLC. So lentinan can become an important remedy adjuvant of chemotherapy.
